Sustainable Practices

Electric Car Scheme
We have partnered with The Electric Car Scheme to promote the adoption of electric cars amongst employees, reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to a more sustainable path forward.
Investment in new machinery
TOP-TEC continuously upgrades its machinery to improve quality and reduce waste. Each new, energy-efficient machine boosts performance and reduces our carbon footprint.
3D printing
Where possible, we have moved from trialling prototype designs out of steel to PLA (Polylactic Acid), a versatile biodegradable plastic.

Achieving Level 1 on NHS Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment
The Assessment is a self-assessment and reporting tool and resulted in us receiving a [Level 1: Publicly committed to net zero carbon and engaged with sustainability]. The information reported through Evergreen is supporting us to understand our alignment with NHS sustainability priorities and identify those areas in which we need to accelerate progress.

Partnering Locally, Working Sustainably

Recycling responsibly
We collaborate with local waste collection companies to recycle steel off-cuts, cardboard, paper, and plastics.
Sourcing from local suppliers
As a UK manufacturer, we partner with local suppliers to source raw materials, significantly reducing our carbon footprint compared to international sourcing.

Creating a Circular Economy: Recycled Worktops

We can now offer environmentally friendly worktops manufactured with 100% recycled plastic.

This marks a significant stride in our commitment to eco-friendly practices, as we continually strive to contribute to a greener world.

How does it work?
Our supplier recycles discarded plastics from waste that would otherwise end up in a landfill, they then use this waste to create high-quality and ecofriendly worktops.By diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into something we can use, we are closing the loop on plastic waste. Our worktops are not just sustainable; they’re part of a larger movement to change how we use, reuse, and repurpose to minimise waste and environmental negative impact.
