Transforming Esports Education at Borders College

With Esports rapidly becoming a valuable educational tool, Borders College sought to create a state-of-the-art gaming space that would engage students while helping improve collaboration and skills development. Having looked at our proven track record in creating exceptional Esports rooms, TOP-TEC was entrusted with bringing Borders College’s vision to life.

Key Project Criteria:

• Turn an existing classroom into an Esports space for Borders College to help improve the students learning experience.

• Create a space fit for delivering Esports courses and hosting competitive Esports events.

• Furniture should fully incorporate the college’s branding.

Decision Process

We were contacted by the college’s Head of Sector, Dale Clancy, who expressed his interest in us creating an Esports classroom. TOP-TEC ESPORTS had several meetings to discuss the college’s requirements and ensured that they were being met throughout each stage of the decision-making process.

It was decided that our Warrior Esports Station would be the best furniture solution for this particular space. Our Warrior station is a highly configurable bench style workstation designed for Esports environments.

Due to its modular design, the Warrior workstations allowed the college to create the perfect set-up by combining multiple sections and tailoring the number of seats to meet their required room size.

TOP-TEC offered 2D room layouts to help maximise the use of the space alongside 3D product renders of the gaming stations so that the college could begin to visualise how the workstations would look.
