DLD College London – Delivering the wow factor with esports in education
The rise of Esports as a mainstream industry has led to the development of specialised equipment and infrastructure to support competitive gaming. As more colleges and universities begin to embrace Esports as a legitimate career path and even offer courses based around jobs in the Esports industry, the need for specialised furniture designed for gaming and related activities has become more apparent.
DLD College London have recently implemented dedicated Esports courses and were looking to refurbish one of their existing spaces to accommodate and support a range of Esports activities. DLD College London needed an Esports Classroom and TOP-TEC were delighted to work with them to deliver on their requirements.

Decision Process
DLD College London were working with technology partner CDW who entrusted TOP-TEC to deliver a professional space that added to the student experience.
CDW encouraged DLD College to engage with TOP-TEC to help design the furniture and a meeting was arranged to discuss the brief.
The College felt that both CDW and TOP-TEC fully engaged in the process and wanted to deliver the best possible outcome. There was a community spirit aiming to achieve the professional space the college had in mind with the project.

TOP-TEC offered 2D room layouts to help maximise the use out of the space alongside 3D product renders of the E-sports gaming stations so that the college could begin to visualise how the workstations would look.

As an in house designer and manufacturer of Esports Gaming Workstations we were able to customise a set of two 6-seat Warrior tables and provide a solution that met the colleges requirements and was within their budget. Our Warrior tables were an ideal solution for the dedicated Esports space, offering the perfect blend of functionality, comfort and aesthetics.

The red in the college logo was used to accent our products including colour matched edge banding and RGB lighting. Illuminated branding was utilised to further elevate the gaming aesthetic.

We were able to design a completely bespoke solution to fit the colleges PC setup, ensuring the valuable hardware is kept safe and secure.
The Result
From the college’s perspective, everything was done to get the perfect setup.
The result is an Esports classroom for DLD College London that has exceeded expectations and a space that the students really enjoy using on a daily basis.
The space is very professional and the students feel engaged and immersed in the experience of using the room which could also been used for teaching other subjects.
Students are required to maintain their grades in other courses to be permitted to participate in the Esports course and using this new learning facility has motivated them and enhanced their learning experience.
