Taking on Esports in Durham University

TOP-TEC recently created a state-of-the art Esports space at Durham University, marking our first major Esports installation at a university. This project highlighted how far Esports is reaching within education beyond colleges and into higher education.

Durham University wanted a dedicated Esports hub that would facilitate Esports learning and support the university’s Esports team. Having worked with us in the past and knowing our proven track record of creating high quality functional Esports spaces, we were contacted by the university to help transform the space into an immersive Esports lab.

Transforming Esports Education at Borders College

Dundee and Angus College – Creating a First-of-its-Kind Esports Studio for Scotland

As Esports in education continues to grow. Dundee & Angus College is keen that potential students see that Esports is not just about playing games competitively, it is a multidisciplinary career where a range of skills are required to organise, manage, and participate.

Dundee & Angus College wanted to create an Esports studio that would give their students an immersive learning experience. The college reached out to us to help them make this idea become a reality.

Chi Cobras Esports | Chichester College

Chichester College were going into the first of year of offering their dedicated Esports course and were looking to refurbish one of their existing spaces to create a base for the course.

The College wanted to provide students with a professional and immersive Esports environment which would act a central hub for the ESPORTS course and create a fit for purpose Esports space that could accommodate traditional classroom teaching for up to 22 students and host competitive Esports events for the ‘Chi Cobras’ Esports team.

Derby College Group – Creating the right Esports space

We were recently approached by Derby College, who were looking to create and launch a space that would be used in conjunction with one of their first ever Esports courses.

The college wanted to see if we could assist in designing the new space and work together to combine our experience in education with gaming influences to create the Esports “look and feel” that they wanted. TOP-TEC happily took up the challenge, providing students with an environment where they could be fully immersed in the Esports gaming culture.
