University of Limerick – Battery-Powered Library Spaces

We worked closely with the University of Limerick to develop a tailored solution that overcame power and infrastructure constraints while supporting a flexible, technology-enabled learning space. Through detailed consultation, we helped define the brief and design a solution aligned to both the functional needs and aesthetic goals of the library.

Our solution centred on Arc Animate battery-powered desks, delivering integrated, cable-free power without the need for fixed electrical installation. This allowed the space to be fully reconfigurable while maintaining a clean, safe environment and providing reliable charging for student devices.

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust – Flexible Meeting Spaces for Hospital Libraries

Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust needed to find a way to make better use of its existing spaces for staff and students.

The Trust’s Library and Knowledge Services team, in collaboration with the Manor Learning and Conference Centre, identified a growing demand for quiet, comfortable and collaborative learning spaces that could support both professional development and academic study.

Loughborough University – DigiLab West – STEM Teaching Space

TOP-TEC were approached by Yasir Rafi, Head of IT Services, who oversees IT operations across the institution. His role is crucial in ensuring that the college’s AV and IT services are efficient, accessible, and aligned with the needs of both students and staff.

Yasir was looking to improve a number of spaces across multiple campuses and wanted to focus on delivering consistent, high-quality experiences that enhance teaching and learning throughout the college.

University of Sheffield – Transforming Learning Spaces

The University of Sheffield recently underwent a campus wide project to renovate classroom and seminar spaces in the Diamond and Wave buildings.

They wanted to improve the style and quality of their learning facilities across campus to help meet the University’s long-term vision and continuously improve teaching and learning experiences.

Having previously worked with TOP-TEC provide Audio Visual Lecterns and Collaborative Furniture for their learning spaces, the university was confident that we would be the right partner for this project.

University of Edinburgh – Flexible learning and teaching spaces upgrades

With some of the largest campuses and estates in the UK, the learning spaces team situated at the University of Edinburgh support the implementation and use of technology in its wide range of teaching spaces.

The team wanted to further advance these spaces and where in the process of embarking on a campus-wide renovation project.

Taking on Esports in Durham University

TOP-TEC recently created a state-of-the art Esports space at Durham University, marking our first major Esports installation at a university. This project highlighted how far Esports is reaching within education beyond colleges and into higher education.

Durham University wanted a dedicated Esports hub that would facilitate Esports learning and support the university’s Esports team. Having worked with us in the past and knowing our proven track record of creating high quality functional Esports spaces, we were contacted by the university to help transform the space into an immersive Esports lab.

Elevating Esports in Gibraltar

As Esports as a professional sport grew in Gibraltar, it began to receive more support from the Ministry of Sports and Ministry of Education along with recognition from organisations worldwide. Esports courses were introduced into the Gibraltar academic curriculum and more efforts were invested into skill development within the Gibraltar Esports community.

To propel the growth of Esports in Gibraltar, the country’s official governing body of Esports and video gaming, Gibraltar Esports and Video Gaming Association (GEVGA) decided to create a state-of-the-art Esports Hub. We were contacted by the Chairman of GEVGA, Charles Garcia, to help bring the organisation’s vision to life.

Transforming Esports Education at Borders College

Dundee and Angus College – Creating a First-of-its-Kind Esports Studio for Scotland

As Esports in education continues to grow. Dundee & Angus College is keen that potential students see that Esports is not just about playing games competitively, it is a multidisciplinary career where a range of skills are required to organise, manage, and participate.

Dundee & Angus College wanted to create an Esports studio that would give their students an immersive learning experience. The college reached out to us to help them make this idea become a reality.

Kingston University London: Flexible ICT Laboratory

Kingston University is a public research university based in London. It prides itself in delivering teaching excellence and a conducive environment for students. To support this, they wanted to refurbish a teaching space in their John Galsworthy Building to be more of a collaborative learning space instead of a traditional classroom.

The University was aware of some of our previous project and trusted in our ability to help create this flexible ICT lab. After discussing their requirements with us, TOP-TEC was up to the task.

South-Central Institute of Technology / MK College -Creating an Innovative Learning Hub

This exciting project involved a new building at Bletchley Campus in Milton Keynes with the aim of providing opportunities for education and training in crucial tech skills, meeting the needs of businesses and inspiring digital futures.

The institute wanted to make one of the rooms in the new building into a dynamic collaborative learning space, designed to promote teamwork and enhance student engagement. To achieve this vision, TOP-TEC collaborated with Roche AV to help bring SCIoT’s innovative learning environment to life.
